Camp Guyasuta celebrated its 100th anniversary this past year. The local camp serves 53 schools and more than 30 non-profit organizations. Last summer's heavy storms caused severe flooding and landslides on the property filling the pool and trails with mud. The camp is planning to plant 2500 native, fast growing, tree seedlings in specific storm water channels to prevent future landslides and the impact of floods.
The Fox Chapel Garden Club was pleased to financially support this plan so that the camp may continue to be enjoyed for years to come.
