The O’Hara Elementary School PTO in 2024-25 for the first time sponsored an after school O’Hara Garden Club. They have six raised beds in their interior courtyard, and they meet weekly from mid-March until the end of school. They plant flowers and vegetables, and they explore the science of gardening by testing the soil, keeping journals and making posters.
Our FCGC has gifted towards the funding for compost, seeds, bulbs, seedlings, gloves, garden tools, insect kits, trellis kits and solar drip irrigation. This is such and exciting project, and the children are loving it!
